Welcome to the mini-grid business. I am Nico, the CEO of the consulting company Enensis and the host of this podcast. This podcast is about mini-grids for rural electrification. As a consultancy company, we have been working with far more than 100 mini-grid companies in Africa and Asia. We have run experiments on mini-grid technology and business models in our own mini-grid companies in Tanzania, uganda and Senegal. Over the last 18 years, we have seen companies taking a good path towards profitability, but we have also seen companies struggling for various reasons. These reasons is what we want to talk about with experts from the sector. We would like to share our own experience and learn from others.
